- One major change is the addition of DynamicGroups.
- Support for nested groups. Update: Jabber may support this natively soon: see "JEP-0083":http://www.jabber.org/jeps/jep-0083.html.
- Buddies can be in as many groups as needed. This is also natively allowed by Jabber.
- A mechanism to quickly search for a buddy (similar to XMMS's 'j' key). This will likely use the Selectron or HSelectron?.
- Since the system will encourage many groups, there needs to be a better mechanism of showing the groups that won't require as much scrolling and expanding/unexpanding. I think the quicksearch, (mentioned above) may help solve this problem.
- Associates: you can create relations between buddies like "roommates", "friends", etc. There is the possibility of graphing this web. You can also create groupwide relations: a group of CS majors could have the relation "same major".
- Plugins can add phony users, groups, and RMB context menu items to the buddy list.
